Here I will explain enable Ctrl + R shortcut to show or hide results pane in sql server or Ctrl + R shortcut key to show / hide results pane missing in ssms 2014 or Ctrl + R shortcut key not working in ssms 2014 to show or hide results pane. In sql server 2014 Ctrl + R option to show or hide results pane has been disabled by default so we need to enable it manually by changing options of ssms 2014.

Now I will explain how to enable Ctrl + R shortcut key to show or hide results
pane in sql
server.
In
sql
server
2014 the shortcut Ctrl + R missing to show / hide results pane because of that
we need to enable that Ctrl + R shortcut manually for that we need to follow
below steps.
1.
Open ssms 2014 and go to Tools à click on Options
2.
Now in left side menu expand Environment
à then expand Keyboard à then select keyboard like as shown below
3.
Now search for Window.ShowResultsPane
from “show commands containing” search textbox and select “Window.ShowResultsPane” and select “SQL Query Editor” from “Use new shortcut in” dropdown list.
4.
Now click in “Press shortcut keys” textbox
and press Ctrl + R keys at a time to
set shortcut key once we pressed that filed will update with Ctrl + R shortcut.
5.
To ensure no other shortcuts using Ctrl + R check shortcut currently used by dropdown list and click Assign button like as shown below

Once we assign shortcut key now click ok button like as shown below
