Introduction:
Here I will explain how to solve the problem of “There was a problem acquiring a personal certificate required to sign in, If the problem continues, please contact your support team.” while login in to Lync communicator in windows 8. Actually this problem occurs when our cached credentials of Lync get corrupted. To fix this problem we need to delete existing certificates and login with your details it will fix your “Cannot sign into Lync. There was a problem acquiring a certificate from the server.”

explain how to solve the problem of “There
was a problem acquiring a personal certificate required to sign in, If the
problem continues, please contact your support team.” while login in to Lync
communicator in windows 8.
Once
login to system when I tried to sign in to Lync communicator I got problem like
as shown below
Actually
this error occurred whenever our cached version of credential certificates get corrupted.
To
fix this problem we need to remove existing certificates and login freshly will
fix this problem for that for follow following steps
1. Go to Start à Control
Panel à User
Accounts and Family Safety à Credential
Manager
2. In manage your
credentials screen check for set of credentials that is connected to Lync online
3. Expand set of
credentials which using to connect Lync and remove it like as shown below
Once
we delete credentials now try to re-login Lync communicator with your login
details.
